Orient Inspired Silver Birch – This tree is in my garden, a beautiful specimen that my children climb and I can observe from my sitting room.  Another piece created ‘en plein air’. The transparency of the initial media allows you to see the multiple layers and me to build up the feeling of silver birch bark. The delicate feeling of the small apple green leaves is built up with watercolour, gouache and oil paint.
