Formal Garden View – The angle of this painting with the architectural steps leading to the front elevation of the glamourous Wortley Hall takes your eye on a journey. This one reminds me of being sat on a September day in the grounds of Wortley Hall with my drawing board looking fondly onto the magnificent view in front of me. Whatever the time of year I find this location inspirational and can often be found here painting ‘en plein air’ enjoying trying to do justice to the building and it’s grounds.
